I have the 10 speaker (boring system) in a 2008 550. I am looking to upgrade the rear deck speakers to Polk Audio db401's. Has anyone done this mod and if so how did they make them fit?

Thanks for your help

the sensitivity is lower, 82 versus 91. Did you add an amp or are you using stock amp for these speakers?

Why would you only upgrade the rear speakers? The most important speakers are the ones in front of you.

You should get a quality amp too. I got BSW speakers all around and a new amp and it made a huge difference. I also got a pair of center channel tweeters to get a nice soundstage. Next up on my list are some subwoofers.

i think i am a little confused or i have read to many posts on this site. i thought an amp change required a lot of pieces/parts/money because of the way BMW packages everything. thanks for all the help/advice.
