Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 525i E60, and i've done the CIC retrofit, but i have here two issues, that someone may already have also stumbled upon.

I have a OBD Ediabas cable with which i've been doing all the codings i need, but i'm a bit new on this, so i'm sure i should be missing a few steps here.

First issue and the more annoying, installed the CIC with the emulator option, and the navigation worked well for a couple of days, but now it's not working and it's only showing the coordinates:
Latitude: _º _ _' _ _"
Longitude: _º _ _' _ _"

And the second issue,is that in the services to be done i have two unidentified, one that shows <?>? that is 7.000km until it has to be done, and other that doesn't show nothing with 38.000km. Does someone know what services are this ones? and how to get them identified?

Thanks in advance to everyone who reads and tries to help!

Best regards

The CIC was introduced when a few CBS entries were removed from the list and thats the reason why your CIC is showing blank entries. You need to code your car with the CIC installed.

As for the Nav not working with the add-on module, can't comment.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for the reply!

I already made the process car coding function on ncs expert and i think it already did the coding, but the unidentified fields remains there! Is there any specific coding method i should use?

Best regards

Make sure that you have added the CIC $6VA into the FA, also make sure that the build date is 0310. Then code the KOMBI with the default values using NCSExpert. Those missing fields will then go away.

Thanks a lot Bruce! It was as you've said! Changed the production date, and then coded the KOMBI, and the uniintefied fields went away! Thansk for sharing the information1

And did you let the new production date on the car VO? or after coding the KOMBI you changed it back to the old production date?

Best regards

Glad you got this sorted. I wouldn't keep the VO date anything besides what it was originally. Because the next time you code an ECU it may take the changed date and give you some unexpected results.
