I heard removing the MAFS totally will not cause errors. But if the MAFS is konked out, then the car will run better but there will be no fuel economy if there are no MAFS. I guess this works the same way. Power= no MAFS or minimal setting Fuel Economy= Let MAFS do it's job

Where did you get this info from? I have seen MAFs/AFMs go back and the car runs piss right killing all the power.

Yea read it somewhere else. And yes so to test if the MAFS is really bad instead of just needing cleaning, remove the connection and if you fell better this way means that the MAFS is gone...

Anyone else read this before or I need to go to a padded cell...

If my memory correct, I did disconnect MAF in my e39 before and get a "check engine" light.

it's worse than a piggy back. We use resistors for LEDs not ur ECU!!!!

Hafta correct myself. It's not even a piggy back. It "supposedly" changes the voltage signal of the air/fiuel mixture to make ur car run a little leaner therefore producing more power. Go to radio shack and spend 15 cents on a resistor and it will do the same job. Some people swear by it.
