So I was able to pick up a set of 172's locally.
I'm planning to have it balanced this weekend.
Do I need a hubcentric ring for it to fit my car?
Mine's an '05.

Mine's an '05.
if they are OEM...no need for hub rings...those wheels are manufactured specifically for the e60...LCI or pre-LCI e60: same hub size

how come you cant get the reps on a xi . i really wantthe 172 but i have a 08 535xi what can i do??

i think umnitza carries 172 reps, have you checked with them for what the offset is, if it's high enough, they fit xi's...
