I've always wanted to replace my 124's with 172's. I know for some, this rim is "too common" but I prefer stock looking than 3-5" of polished lip.

Anyone want to sell me a set of 172 + tires for cheap? NoVA here.

172's don't pop up too often...

but here's a set FS:

(you should have posted this in the private member classified section as a "WTB" thread)

Yes 172s are rarely up for sale. The set of 172s being sold in that thread are 2 years old and pricing at $1900 which seems on the high side. But is hard to find used 172s.

I might have my set up for sale soon, not sure though. They need repaired - all are slightly bent and one is cracked. cost of about $500 to fix them all from what I could find out. What would a fair price be for them in their condition? Maybe around $800 bucks - and without tires, just the wheels.

We are currently having a sale on our Style 172's wheels in 19" staggered.

Have a look: [ OEMconcept ] Style 172 replica wheels | Liquidation

We have just a couple sets left!

I would go reps from above vendor or Umnitza. If you don't want to dish out $1,500+ then brand new reps is the way to go!

Thanks guys.
Someone is offering me $1600 for a set of M5 rims/tires.
I think I need to sell some of my Cannondales/Specialized bikes.

I like the 172's for the non-M car better than the M-rims.

I do have M-tech but IMO, the 172 is the best looking OEM for the 5'er.

That is a REALLY good deal for OEM 166s with tires. In person, they look awesome, I was shocked. I thought they were "meh" from pictures but they look stunning in person. The rear concavity makes me drooooool!

The downside of the 172s for me is no concavity, they seem a little busy, and I can't imagine what a pain it is cleaning those!

Keep in mind that if the tires were from an M5 E60 you will not be able to use them, so put the cost of new tires into consideration as well.

What would be the tire sizes that will fit my car without rubbing? Thanks for the headsup.
