Hi All,


I've been looking at what's available to remap my next E60 530d. I've spoken to AC Schnitzer, DMS Automotive and several others.

The company that I am currently considering is Celtic Tuning - they seem to have about the best price / performance gains out there and appear to be reliable. Does anyone have any experience with this firm? The price is half that of DMS (and about a quarter of ACS!) 290BHP and 452lb-ft (612NM) sounds pretty good for ?425.

I am looking into a remap for my 530d (218bhp) and from what i see DMS seem to be the best at what they do but are more money. My remap will go to 270bhp and 575nm which seems very good. They want ?625 but will give a discount of 25% off if you travel to them. I am holding off at the moment until i have more funds but i may have a look at the Celtic tuning and see what they say.

I must also consider how far i have to travel to these tuning compaines. I wonder if we can get a deal on to 530d's at the same time ??

Hmmm.......DMS quoted me more money than that:

"We take the car to 275 BHP and 585 Nm torque. Upgrade is undetectable by BMW service and diagnostic equipment and can be carried out at your location by our own engineers. Cost ?795+vat." !!!

 

Any other UK users with remap experience PLEASE !!
