My friend who owns a clear bar/tinting company uses them and tells me they are great.

What are your thoughts?

I have steel ramps that are too steep for my M sport body kit,so I place 2 lengths of timber (5 ft x 8" x 2.5") with one end of each sawn at an angle to fit flush with the garage floor when resting about half way up each ramp.I drive slowly up the timber until I am on the top level of the steel ramps. No damage to the front spoiler,no problem.

Have em but haven't used them on this car yet. I had no problem with the slipping out from my previous, lowered A6..but then again I used them on a driveway which is more rough than a cement garage floor. If they slip, just place a 2X4 cut in front of them...then drive SLOWLY onto them...the 2X4 will give you a little lift if your bumper is pushing the ramps first...

I use Rhino ramps (the plastic type) and they work perfect... 15 min quality oil change without the dealer price

My Rhino ramps work for my E60 M-Sport and E90 Sport (lowered suspension on both). I supplement the ramps with two pieces of 2x10 wood, 14 inch long, 45-degree cut. The wood by itself allows me to fit the floor jack and the ECS Tuning jack pad under the front for winter wheel swap. The rear wheels do not require any wood for floor jack clearance.

The ramps/wood will slide with any front wheels that are not driven if the brakes are on. Just line up ramps on front wheels and drive forward onto ramps using only throttle and no brakes.

i have them, and they definitely slide everywhere. I was not able to use them when i purchased them, but i will say that they would probably work on a less slippery surface.
after reading this thread i'm going to give them another shot.

Think you can put a pic up of your ramp? I can't picture it
Sure will . . . if time permits tomorrow or over the weekend.

Thumbs down

Here ya go ... I made a pair of them from 2x8 lumber, cut ends at an angle and bolted them together. Just dragged one out of the garage but it should provide an ideal of what I use to raise my car a few inches to permit room underneath for basic oil change stuff. The underside has squiggly lines of silicone sealer to help prevent slipping when I drive up on them.

you need to put a old rubber mat or something under the ramps so that they dont slide.
