Anyone seen such LCI headlights?
I saw this car today in Oxford in the UK - a black LCI E60 with sport package, looked completely standard, no mods, BUT:
In its headlights, the surroundings of the two round lamps were matt silver/grey instead of the typical chrome I've seen everywhere else. It looked pretty cool, much better IMHO than the chrome. Sorry I did not take any pics, as I thought I would go online and instantly find info on these lights, but nothing came up!
I just did an online search but I can't seem to find this type of lights anywhere - all LCI cars out there have chrome in their lights.. Could it be just a UK thing, to do with the UK regulations? Has anyone out there seen such LCI lights anywhere else?

Somethin' like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E60-HALO-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHT-GENUINE-PART_W0QQitemZ320458989758QQihZ011QQcategoryZ10374QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ?
If yes it's the standard halogen non-Xenon based version of the LCI which uses projector lens rather than just reflector found on the pre-LCI for the main beam.

Did everyone get it yet??
But it makes no sense for me upgrading to these - I will lose my adaptive xenon function. What I could do though is open up my headlights and paint the black housing inside matt silver. Sounds like a butchery job to me... I bet I would get all sorts of problems afterwards, like moisture etc.
But I found something else on Ebay that might be of interest to everyone, see next post.
These are Eagle Eyes aftermarket headlights from Malaysia.
They are projector halogen lights with CCFL angel eyes that imitate the LCI look and fit on pre-LCI cars. They cost GBP 580 plus shipping, for a pair. I guess an interesting option for anyone who wants to upgrade his pre-LCI halogen lights without selling his kidney (not to confuse with the kidney grille).
I saw a topic here on these lights from the beginning of 2009 but the OP had just posted some low-quality pics and could not remember where he found them on the net. At the end someone posted a link to the Eagle Eyes website but there still were no good quality pics, and the price was something like $1500 per light, so the interest faded rather quickly.
So in case anyone was interested - now you have a much better pic (the product also looks good quality!), and a much better price.
