you are right about it (rears) being tucked in. i should be getting mine this friday from newport and was told by some members that a 12mm offset spacer is required for the "flush" look. h & r makes them and so does rougue engineering.
i believe the m6 166 stlye are a diff offset and may not require spacers but not sure. can someone chime in regarding this...i would rather not use spacers at all if possible
thanks

Correct, the M6 wheels have a flush offset. I'm going to try a 12 and 15mm spacer for my 545i with M5 wheels. Thanks!

had i known this i would of definitely ordered the M6, but like i said in a previous thread when i ordered my 166 the tech told me the M5 and M6 were the same offset. that was bs. i'll have to call newport back to see if i can exchange for the m6 offset. maybe i can stop delivery in transit...

12mm is correct to make M5 offset 166s set as M6 offset 166s are.
I just ordered the 12mm H&Rs from Nerweezy at Trinity Motorsport - you might want to send a PM to inquire.
(And for the record, I was itching to get my wheels and couldn't wait - Garry at Newport said they were on back order and I said I'd take the M5s instead.)

anytime bro! just curious, why didn't you order the M6 instead, for the flush setup with no spacers?

I thought the M6 offset wheel in M5 style was a remake and I wanted OEM stuff. Am I wrong?
check realoem.com if you wish to confirm for yourself

I think the M5 wheels are tucked a bit in the fender too much. Anyone running 10-15mm spacers? I like the ones at AES.
Pics???
Thanks!
