Depends what you're after really, sound quality and accurancy or power and thump. I had an w6 and tested an w7. Different subs , different audience.
The w6 is more sq oriented -if you can put it like that- has a very smooth delivery and is on the warm side. Very clear sub and with good thump if you feed it clean power. It would not blow your head off but certainly will complement your system more than adequatly, people will know you have a sub there!
The w7 is more on the power side of things, i personally did not like the way it sound, it is a matter of taste, plus it is quite inefficient sub so you will need quite abit of power to get it going -not mentioning money-.
If you tell me what you're after ,how much you want to spend and what kind of amp you have , i'll be able to give you a few suggestions

Make sure you dont pay retail for your jl audio setup. There's a lot better products out there for the money, but a lot of people believe in JL marketing.

That's very good advise also, do listen to different subs before making your choice. Don't get me wrong the w6 is an excellent sub but as said above it is on the overpriced side ..

No amp right now just the stock set up, I just want to "feel the music". I am going to purchase the JL Audio CVS112RG-W6v2 and JL Audio HD750/1 amp. I can get the two for around 1K and then install @ Al & ed's for a few more dollars.
Thanks for all the help.

If you just want to "feel" the music this sub will be more than adequate, the only people i believe this sub will not be suitable for are bass junkies and people
they want to feel their chest crushing!
What sub is louder?

Thats a lot for that package. Does that include the box, wiring, cleansweep, etc. If not you should try my shop. They can't quote you over the phone but you can probably get a complete package with the 1000/1 amp for less then what al & eds charges. You would just have to get installation elsewhere.
