Anyone retrofitted electrical folding outside mirrors?

My Ride: 525D with M-Sport Package (M-rear spoiler incl.) - Manual Drive - Carbon black - amethyst leather (2 tone) - Summer: styling 128 rims (245/35 R19Y - 275/30 R19Y on Michelin PS2) - Winter: styling 135M rims (245/40/18ZR on Dunlop M3 SP Winter Sport)- Logic7 - Nav.Syst.Prof. - bluetooth - xenon - adapt. headl.- PDC - Sun Protection Glass - Through Load Syst. - M5 mirrors - Chrome Grill - Extended Inter. Light Package - Front Seat Heating and...the amazing floormats
I hope I have not missed this topic anywhere else.
Been monitoring eBay for months now, hoping to get my hands on a set of M5 mirrors, but decided to give up the search and get a set of new ones from the dealer.
Only issue (at this stage) is that I did not get the electrical folding mirrors as an option ( :'( ) when I bought the car, hence the question!
With the average size of european parking spaces ( :thumbsdown: ), it would be great to get this retrofitted.
If not possible, I'll have to use my hands...I expect that to work.
PS: if I remember well, Postel has them installed as well, without having the electrical folding. Postel, have you been able to retrofit or is it also a 'bare hands' job for you?

Anyone in Europe or Asia? (since US does not have this option I believe)

I heared from my dealer that everything is possible to retrofit, I wanted M anthrazite roof it wud have cost 3X times, the same for the Nav pro ...so I guess this can be also done, or you fold that with your hands, e60 is 2,05 cm wide (measured the mirrors oem non M) so my tiny old garage wud be almost impossible to park my baby in. I think it is really useful. Why don't you blame your dealer that they did not let you get it and ask a good quote

Meanwhile I've been trying to find the 'electrical folding mirrors' option, so that I would have an idea about price. I could not find it anywhere, so I called my dealer. I could not find it for the obvious reason that it does not exist separately...it is part of the auto-dimming feature, but is not mentioned as such.
Anyway, that is not going to stop me from getting these M-mirrors. I mainly want these for the visual aspect, not for the practical.
And the BE-meet, yes, I am definitely interested in meeting some fellow E60-addicts. Challenge for me is fixing a date, as I travel a lot ...and what is worse...my schedule often changes with very short notice.
Now, since I have always been able to fix my holidays, I must be able to fix a date for a similarely important event. As long as we can fix it enough in advance, I should be able to stick to it.
What dates/period were you thinking off? (2 dates that I will surely be in the country this year are July 15-16th as that's the weekend after I get back from holidays)
Btw, you said yr E60 is only 2,05 cm wide... how do you even get into yr car then??? Must be a single seat dragster version

Yes just go for the ///M mirrors. That is BS I have auto-dimming and folding, ok, but you have ///M mirrors w/wo auto-dimming and folding so ... strange.
