It looks like the body shop messed up my trunk finisher when they installed my M-Tech kit and trunk finisher a few months ago. It is starting to peel away from the body on the edges and the placement is a little low, so it is starting to rub off the paint on the rear bumper when it meets the finisher.

I was thinking about removing it and reattaching with some new double sticky tape.

Do you think if I pull the finisher off, it will mess up the paint behind it?

I know all they used was the tape that was provided in the box when I got it from Gary Romani.

 

use a heat gun to expand the 3m tape and fishing line to remove.
