Anyone with pics of Eibach ProKit on an e60?
#1
I have a 2005 530i with Premium only. I just picked up a ProKit for $185, and would like to see some others that have gone this route.
Will the drop with these require any camber adjustments (e.g., plates, concentric bushings, etc.) other than an alignment? Are any of you using the stock shocks with the Eibach springs? Any idea who makes the stock shocks?
I used H&R springs and Bilstein shocks on the TT, and it required a camber correction kit for the rear:
Many thanks,

I plan to drop mine 30mm on the Pro Kit, which is designed for use with the OEM shocks so not changing them.
As for looks - once I have it done i'll post up the pics

Eibach lowers by 1.2inch which I think is the safest drop you can do period. Me personally, I would want to cut half a coil or so to increase the drop but im weary of camber trouble. I am also suprised you had camber issues with your TT as most springs offered for that car are usually only 1inch or so. It looked sharp though

Thanks for the comment about the TT. I still have it--the 5 is primarily for my wife. The H&R springs on the TT lower it 1.3(f), 1.2?, which is more than enough to throw the already-quite-negative camber out of whack in the rear. Even the Eibachs on the TT--which only lower about an inch--require some camber attention. There's very little adustability back there without using concentric bushings (which I did) or adjustable tie rods.

My Ride: Just the basic 525.... premium package, xenon headlights
i installed the eibach springs and they are ok.....it dropped the car by more than an inch which looks better but the ride would suffer a little bit..you would feel the bumps on the road compared to just adding an aftermarket wheel together with OEM springs, but the cornering is better with the Eibach springs....

Thanks for the reply. Does your car already have the Sport package? Will the Eibachs lower it further than with the sport package?
Looking forward to the pics.
