Have you always had the issue with the cables rights from the start? Don't think so otherwise you would have mentioned it to me. It may or may not have something to do with the cable because we know that even without the cable sometime the car's error handling can play up.

One thing you can try on your right hand side is : On the plug with the 6 pins, swap pin 4 and pin 6 (pin 1 is the one with the Brown wire). Tell me how you get on.

Never had any problems with my cables, work great.

Maybe your bulb is on the way out? Have you tried replacing them?

Bruce, i never had the issues with the cables from the start till recently. I just notice the right brake light malfunction keeps coming on everytime i drive, when i come to a stop light it doesnt come on till i let off the brakes after few sec. I was courious if it's something internally with the resistors built inside the harness, but who knows. As for the error showing up with when i didnt have the cables were none as i remembered. .

How do you go with swapping the pins without tareing up the cables? Can you explain it to me..? We'll i'll take pictures of it when i get home from work today on how i have it plugged into my taillights and see if you can guide me into swapping the pins.

The cables work great till recently and i dont know why? I've checked the bulbs with an unbrella pushing against my brake while from behind i checked the brake lights and nothing?? I didnt take out the taillight bulb completely to see if anything was wrong with them, but when the car brakes it lights up. I'll have to take apart the taillight bulbs later on today and give it a shot..

Ok here goes a step by step method to swap the wires I spoke about earlier to see if it will help you. Doing it via the forum just incase anyone else ever has to do this again.

This swap is done on the plug with 6 pins on the car harness side.
Anyone with LCI taillights w/ Bruce's cable get taillight out?-dsc00205.jpg

Use a small screwdriver or similar device to lift the flap.

Then push the small screwdriver into the square hole on the plug slighty to release the catch for the pin and pull on the wire slowly. This will release the pin from the first catch.

Do exactly the same for the catch but this time below the square hole. This time when you pull the wire it should make the pin come out of the plug.
Do this for pins 4 and pin 6. Note : Pin 1 is the one with the thick brown wire attached to it.

Swap the positions of these pins.

When you are putting the pins back simply push them into the holes and you will hear two faint clicks.

Push the flap back down to lock all the pins into the plug.

On US cars you wont see any difference but on the EU cars it will move the Brake from the middle to the outer bulbs.
