just wondering who on here rolls with 22s, what would be the best set up? any info would be appreciated.
I am looking to get rims very soon and have been debating on 22s.
how is the ride?.... did you have to roll your fenders?
Also, i live in Los Angeles, which has some horrible pothole filled streets... have had rims on a previous car (which one rim ended up getting bent from carelessly speeding thru the street)... i am much wiser now and know to be extremely careful..

22??? are you trying to bend your wheels asap??/ biggest we hvae seen so far is 21 and honestly i wouldnt even go past 20"

22" tire will have no rubber on them.. and ride will be horrible so you are going to feel every single bit of road.

22" are mostly designed for 6 and 7 series so you will have to roll the fender

if theres pothole stay between 19 and 20

Yes I've seen 22's pictures about 2 weeks ago in some thread. And it honestly didn't look bad.

IMO...22's would not look right on a E60...21's max...20's perfect.

22's will look good if you pull off the right amount of drop and you have good looking wheels to start with

if you do cheap wheels in that size its going to look a bit goofy

+1 22's has been done but not recommended. biggest recommended would be 20's-21's.

First thing I think of when I hear 22'' wheels is a Dodge Charger or Magnum with all Chrome wheels that look cheap and gaudy. I think the Charger or Magnum would look really really good with 20'' HRE, DPE, Iforged, etc. but 99% of them with aftermarket wheels look like the wheels are way too big, compensate for lack of offset with bulging centers to get a decent sized lip, and are all chromed out.

In LA I wouldn't go near 22'', I've seen Skeeter's 21'' Iforged wheels in person and that's as big as I would go. He pulled it off, but I would probably stick to 19'' or 20'' for ride comfort.

Ride quality is the same between 21 and 22s, I have both... Infact the 22s felt the same as the 19" wheels I had, maybe it was the horrible Run Flat Tires.

21s are PERFECT for the 5ers I think. But if you are a spirited driver go with the 20s!
