I have searched this topic many times and frankly, there's very few members who have 6MT E60s and fewer than have tried out any aftermarket SSK (not just swapping to the Z4 shifter). I've seen mixed reviews on the E60 but overall good reviews on the E46 M3 for these respective brands.

Anyone have any insight/reviews/comparisons for these? I'm looking to get a UUC which I heard these make the throws significantly shorter but notchier.

I looked into this a while back and couldn't get a definitive answer on whether you can use the rogue or UUC kit on our cars, which is why I just went with the oem SSK. If this can work I would definitely be interested I've heard many good things fromt he e46 crowd about both the UUC and the Rogue SSK.

so it looks like rogue engineering and UUC have kits for the 550i and 545i, which I think will also fit the 530i. Has anyone tried these?

This would be an interesting experiment. I wrote Ben Liaw about a SSK for the E60 530i. He did not respond. Perhaps you could try a phone call.

I too have a six speed manual transmission and would love to know.I prefer the manual to the automatic as you get a much more better driving experience.

I don't have a 6MT e60... but I can vouch for the quality of the Rogue Engineering SSK's. I had on in my e36 M3 and never had a problem with it, not to mention the weight and feel of it was superb.

When I first the got the car, I looked everywhere on the web for a SSK, anybody with an aftermarket SSK please chime in.

I talked to Rob at UUC and they have a kit for the 545i 505i and 530i.
