The core windings inside these coils have been modified to increase firepower and promote a faster, more efficient burn. This gives your BMW increased torque in the lower range of RPM and more horsepower in the upper range. Exact improvements depend on the current condition of your BMW's engine, but you'll definitely feel the difference. They'll also improve your fuel economy. Plus they come with new spark plug boots, making them an even better value. Installation is a simple, do-it-yourself procedure that takes about 30 minutes. Instructions included.

Anyone ever tried these or think they might be a good idea? I have upgraded ignition parts in several other cars before and always gotten more HP and fuel economy. These seem like a fairly inexpensive way to get more out of my engine, especially after an ECU tune.

C'mon Tony, with gas prices being what they are who isn't looking for better fuel economy, and more HP to boot?
Especially relatively cheaply like these. Tempting - isn't it?

BTW, your link to Bavauto has a comma instead of a dot.

pjinca,
I've never heard of these performance coils but I'm somewhat interested myself. If you choose to go ahead with these let us know what your results are. BDW, the website has a great video on removing and replacing the ignition coils and spark plugs. Great reference material for sure.

Agreed, the reference video is pretty decent, but since I just changed my spark plugs the procedure is the same. I was hoping to see if anyone had ever used the upgraded coils, but I might just end up as the guinea pig
