You could get some CHs off an older 5 series, either the e34 or e39.? The e34 should have the same hub diameter, but you'd be hard pressed to find 19s on an e34.

Those CHs you've seen on e46fanatics wouldn't work, unless you're willing to use spacers, which isn't recommended.

Spacers suck worse than hubcentric rings. You really want to avoid these at all costs.

e34 had 72.5mm hubs, fyi.

why is it preferred to avoid hubcentric rings and spacers? What kind of detrimental effects do they have?

Actually, if those CHs are off a M3, it's possible to fit, but not recommended. The rears will have an offset of ~20mm or so and could possibly fit without spacers. The fronts though have an offset greater than 40mm, so spacers, large spacers at that, would be needed to fit.

Oh and the e46 M3 should have the same hub center size, so no need to worry there. If it were me though, I'd pass on M3 wheels, unless they were really cheap.

I agree with the spacers, but hubcentric rings don't seem to be that bad. Cheap to replace as well.

Everything I've read tells me that spacers should be avoided, but it seems that many on this board have used them with no ill effects reported. What do you make of this?

Spacers require longer bolts, and may cause vibration and alignment problems.
Hub rings are a pain, often getting stuck, or cracking.
Best to get wheels specifically designed for the purpose.
I don't think the Anniversary II's are offered in 19" fitments for the e60/61/63/64, only 20".

A lot of people have surgical augmentation with no 'reported' ill effects initially, I still wouldn't go for it.

? I think the BBS CH is the perfect mix, and if I were to get any other wheel, it would be the Hamann Anniversary's (only come in 20'' though), ACS Type II (ACS = $$$) or some DPE's.?

Just get some DPEs phil. Don't think I've seen a set on an e60 as of yet, and with custom offsets and the such, no need to worry with all this nonsense.

I'm out guys.

I'm going to look around and see if I can get CH's w/ E60 specified fitment, but I think I'm going to start looking at DPE's too in case I change my mind or CH's are too big of a pain

Thanks for the help guys!

Have you seen the Radenergie R10? They are available in 19" and 20" fitments, and different color centers.

Yeah, those are really good looking wheels, but a lot of $ for me, and unless I want to save up for a while, I won't be able to get those. CH's are a good price and they're really good looking wheels.

Aren't DPE's and Hamann AnniversaryII's expensive?
