Hey, I want to do a custom sound system in my car. I already have 2 Kicker L7's in my trunk and the bass drowns out the mids and highs. My bass knob is not even half way turned up with the interiors all the way up. Anyway, I want to install a in dash (Pioneer AVH-P5200DVD). I know a couple members on here had custom work done on their car, I just want to know if I could make this work before I buy it. I have navigation, mp3 player, and the heated seats buttons on the center that's why I choose the single din. Thanks for your help in advance

 

Its def possible, i just havent done it. One of the members has done it but no DIY.

 

its possible but I think you have to leave the OE headunit intact and place the aftermarket HU somewhere else.

 

Yea its usually placed by the pdc and dtc functions are. Right above those buttons where you have wood trim

 

Ok thanks ... I shoud still be able to use the iDrive right? Cause I have my Navigation on there I just want to put the music to the pioneer in dash.

 

I still have my double din custom kit.. I can give it to you for like $60 bucks if you want, it just needs to be touched up and repainted...

 

I'm also selling my kenwood indash, with navigation and direct Ipod connect for $500 (Neg).. The only thing is when you put the discs in, you sometimes have to push it with another disc before it plays, its weird but not really a problem.
