Has anybody here applied adhesive vinyl to their deep dish wheel lips? Can you please share how well it held on and which product you used? The 3M Scotchprint 1080 Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap looks reasonable and has a wet finish to it- probably good for washing brake dust away. Wondering if this is a bad idea or not.

Though its been done, the final results seem less than pleasing. If you are really worried about brake dust, wax your wheels and keep the original finish.

On the flip side, since its essentially just vinyl stickers, go ahead and try it. The worse that can happen is you hate it and end up peeling it off.
