As the title says, have any of you done this? I did it today as my discs and pads were worn anyway. I got some calipers from eBay for £240 delivered with basically brand new pads in them and they included the hoses too which were also as new.
Got a pair of 348mm x 36mm discs to suit the likes of a 535d for £70 delivered. Bargain!
The install was easy, only a couple of 5mm spacers required to centralise the caliper over the disc. Existing bolts fit the new caliper too.
A quick bleed and wash, done! I’ve only travelled about 10 miles but they are starting to bite and I can feel a big improvement already. I had 324mm discs originally.

Haha! I guess I should have taken some photos at the time! I’ll take a wheel off and take some photos of what I did. It’s really just a bolt on upgrade with the addition of a couple of washers to shift the caliper over slightly.
I’ve driven about 100 miles now and the braking force is much much greater than before. Loving it!
I’m looking to do something with the rears now, probably just go for 535d upwards discs and calipers. I would like to see if any of the Brembo 2 piston calipers would bolt on from the likes of the 2 series. If I can find a cheap one, I’ll test it out.

Any pictures of the above brake calipers and discs please
