Like the title says, can installing a rpi exhaust system cause problems with the existing warranty on my car? Just wouldn't want to give my dealership a reason to "pass the buck" if something happens to the car that's exhaust related! Having said that...I don't even know if the exhaust systems on our cars are covered by warranty?

They could & would void your exhaust related claims other than that you should be straight

this topic has been discussed before as well..I believe it was member Krozi that had this exact same Q regarding RPI air scoops:

https://5series.net/forums/index.php...opic=73584&hl= (the principle still applies)

and then there is this one regarding an actual aftermarket exhaust: https://5series.net/forums/index.php...pic=75159&st=0

warranty work/claims would be denied only if the actual mod (in this case the exhaust) was proven to cause the damage...

RPI is a bolt-on exhaust. even if you had a magnaflow welded on, they shouldnt void your warranty. but yes any complaint that is exhaust related, they wont cover.
