it looks like the one I saw connects on the digital side (pre amp) of the signal and the ebay one connects on the analog side (post amp). I guess as long as it works I would go with the cheaper one, but does anyone know for sure?

 

So, do you have to have aux hookup for this to work? What happens if you are listening to a CD from the car and a call comes in, does the parrot know to mute the CD?

 

To be honest I only listen to music through my iPhone since I installed Parrot and never CDs!
If a call comes in, the iPhone becomes muted (or the device using the line-in, or the device connected to the USB connection of Parrot).

I do not have a reason to listen to CDs anymore but I can test it and let you know.

EDIT: From reading other user's comments it looks like Parrot mutes the CD and the Radio as this is controlled by one of the connections of the Parrot harness that is connected to the car's audio system.

 

do you know which harness you used? Is your car logic 7?
