Default Any pointers on fender grill mod?

Was up homies. I managed to snatch up some oem m5 fender grills of eBay for dirt cheap I'm planning on cutting into my fender this thurday. Any tips or things not to do? My buddy wants to use Angeled sheet metal cutters. Is this a good tool? Thanks.

ive seen it done. cover the area with painteres tape, trace it out on the tape and use a air saber saw, essentially a compressor powered reciprocating saw. there are threads on here with pics of them doing it, however all the pics are gone. simon actually did this awhile back. i may have the pics somewhere here since i saved a few to my computer. if i can find them ill upload.

Default fender grill

Wassup Bigjule,
I just did this mod to my alpine white 530 and im completely satisfied with the result.
I removed the fenders (easy, 2 bolts behind door gap, 2 behind fender wheel well and 5 under hood) Took them to my local body shop with the template. Cost me $100.

Once you have the fenders off, you'll notice a strange metal hump that protrudes. I shaved it completely off with a power drill and circular saw connection. Shave it down flush so there's nothing blocking the grill now from being inserted. Good luck.
