I've noticed that alot of people seem to be running the 35 series up front and the 30 in the rear, or 30, 25 respectively. I too, ended up going this route when I ordered my tires a few days ago (they should be here on Monday!) but I realized that I never asked why this is common practice. Could you please offer a little insight?

Thanks.

Using 35 and 30 profile tires on 20" wheels will give more protection to the wheel and feel more comfortable.

To get as close to stock wheel dimensions as possible. Bigger or smaller than stock wheel diameter will result in erroneous speedometer reading.

+1 with that thicker sidewall. most cases it leads to needing the fenders to be rolled and/or cut, but worth it for the rim protection in my opinion.
