Hey guys, long story short I ended up with a pair of brand new lci halogen headlights. My car is a 2004 530i pre lci of course  with adaptive xenons and ahl...Now I currently already have lci tails with bruce cables but is it possible to install the new lci headlights onto my car with just the oem retro fit cables and that is all? I know there will be errors for xenons out and adaptive errors but can these simply be coded out? Also for this type of switch will I really need the new lcm since im going to halogen? Sorry for all the questions but I highly doubt anyone has ever done this before since most people have done pre lci xenon to lci xenon. If anyone can point me to the right direction I will be more that grateful

p.s. I know it sounds dumb but I just cant justify letting these nice new headlights just sit in my shed especially given the fact that my current headlights are In HORRIBLE shape! Also this might help other members who dont want to fork over the money for xenon lci's since halogen lci are almost half way cheaper.

Can be done, but coding definitely necessary.

So do you think I will need to change the lcm? I'm hoping all I need is the oem retrofit wires and an hid kid for the halogens

I doubt it. The halogen lights are the most basic lights and they would be included in the xenon lcm. (not 100% so don't quote me).
The other way around yes you need to.
