I recently changed my angel eyes and they look sweet, however i see that many members have pictures of their angel eyes and the daytime running lights arent on. It looks ugly because the day time running lights are orange. What should i do remove the bulb? But that will give me an error or should i just change the light bulb to different color. If so what are some good light bulbs to get

In the iDrive, if you go under options and go to lights or something settings, search for it and you'll find it. It says Daytime Running Headlights On/Off
switch to off and you'll be fine

I have the same problem so instead of the yellow lights I changed it out to Artic White H7 Bulbs. Looks a little better than OEM.

I think because DRLs operate at reduced voltage even "white" lamps don't appear really white in running mode; that is untill you flash to pass - then they go white.

I went to my dealer about this, my problem was the "auto light function" switch. I said the lights were on even in bright sunshine and did not go off.
I was told the previous owner had the DRL selected through the idrive. So I assume they are lights that are on permanently when you select the "auto lights" function on the switch i.e. one click left.
Now that I have disabled it through the idrive the switch reverts to "auto lights" i.e. come on when it gets dark.
Hope this helps
