So I am just finishing up my Orion V2 install and I put the lights in and wired up a relay to the car cigarette lighter and footwell light so the lights are always on when ignition is on and when I hit my remote. However, like a dumbass, I removed the original AE's from the headlights and now I get a Parking Light Malfuntion. Is there a simple fix for this? Can I use a small resistor in place of the light? Maybe if I can NCSExpert to work is there a way to code them away?
Thanks for your input.

You'd want to remove the original angel eye rings since you're on pre-LCI anyway. There are multiple ways to rid of the error. If you don't want to take the headlight out to do some rewiring, you could throw in a resistor in each side and code out the cold and warm check.

Yeah, I took out the rings but I could have just left the bulbs in there so the car wouldn't give me an error. What resistor can be used? I'm assuming it would have to be a large wattage one to dissipate heat? Would it be easier to just code it then? How would I go about doing that?
Thanks

The info is everywhere on this board.
With that said, I didn't realize you didn't know how to code.
If that's the case, it would be easier for you to just get the right sized resistor and put it in there. I don't remember it on top of my head, but you can use Ohms Law to calculate it.

I too have a relay harness for my HID AE and used a 50W resistor from DDM (cost me 3 bucks at bimmerfest!) to cancel out the error. They get really hot though so make sure they're not touching anything that might melt.
This should be sufficient to simulate a light bulb.
Note that I did not do heavy research before trying this out..you can do what Simon suggested and use Ohms law to calculate it. However, I haven't had any issues.
