Having read most of Bruce_miranda I still have two questions, and I would kindly ask for confirmation on a these topics
I have Hifi sound system (i.e. "subs" under seats and small amp in the trunk.)
1) From what I can see the amp has eleven cables connected of which 4 are thinner. According to "Bruce_miranda" posts these are line level inputs. That is what I need to my amp but how can I figure out which is which i.e. R+R-L+L-? In the "Bruce_miranda" post is said;
____Bruce_miranda post____
If you have the normal US amp (not logic 7) in the trunk, you should see 4 thiner wires on one side of the plug going into the amp. They are line level inputs, use them to feed into your amp and see how you get on.
0.75 SW/VI pin 13 AZBL-
0.75 SW/RT pin 3 AZBL+
0.75 SW/BR pin 4 AZBR-
0.75 SW/WS pin 14 AZBR+
___end Brunce_miranda post_____
English is not my native language and I do not recognize the abbreviations VI, RT, BR, WS. Can you please explain?
2) My amp is fairly big (power consuming) would it be better to feed the remote amp cable via the trunk 12V (which is only "on" when car is running/engine on) opposite to the remote amp cable on the small amp. which is on as soon as my key is in and radio is powered on.
3) Anything else that I should keep in mind?
Kind regards
Knubblo
