Amp replacement for underseat subs
The factory amp for the underseat subs isn't working anymore. What is a good replacement amp for them? Looking for something small to fit in that same area as the factory amp, and something not expensive. Any suggestions

The factory amp controls all the speakers, not just the subs. You might want to check the subs to see if they are functioning first before replacing the amp. If you do need a new amp there are a wide range of options out there.

I'm pretty sure the factory amp in the trunk controls the subs and the interior speakers are powered by the head unit

correct and correct.
In the Hi-Fi the amp only drives the sub, in the L7 the amp drives all the speakers.

Thanks Bruce for clarifying, I've got the hi-fi system. Anyone know how many rms watts the factory subs are putting out at least so I can find an amp

I have the hi-fi system as well. I did this and it made a whole world of difference in volume and sound quality.
