Anyone got a good pic of a alpine with tint...??? Can decide to keep a clean look or tint the windows. I wanted a mirrorish finish, but that causes radio reception issues...ceramic is a little too expensive to remove and replace if I get pulled over..

 

Madico makes a non-metallic film called Charcool. I had it installed by Wintech in Costa Mesa. No radio interference and the cost was about $175 with a lifetime warranty. They have a mobile service or you can go to them. I think alpine white with tint would look great. Not too dark, maybe 35%.

 

i would go with non metallic or ceramic tint. does not look good imho. stick with black/charcoal. i have llumar 20% on mine. looks great matching the shadowline trim and my wheels. Get either llumar tints or huper optik

 

Best tint I have ever had SunGard Endurance. It comes in 32% and 15%

It is semi-reflective, but within legal limits here in FL.

The tint actually takes on the color of the car, somewhat.

It is a metallic tint.

The sharkfin is on the roof, though.... I don't think the tint will affect your radio.

 

Alpine White with Tint. OMG.. looks HOT HOT HOT!!! If possible get an aftermarket wheels and painted black. BEST!

 

I thought the shark fin was only for BMW assist and Navigation...Isn't the bmw radio antenna integrated into the rear window???

 

The rear window has the TV aerial. Radio is in the shark fin.

 

So metallic or hybrid tint is fine??? Any other associated problems with tint I should know about? Beside Huper Optik...what else is out there, I know Llumar, Sungard, and Maido...

 

Keep it clean...no tint, so everyone can see that smile on your face! I think with the sports package and the black trim, either a dark tint or no tint looks good on an alpine white. I just prefer no tint...I think. In SoCal is tint necessary due to the heat?
