What do you mean by the hood? The hood of the B5 is standard E60 (without any insulation). Also, where did you get an Alpina steering wheel from, likewise the emblems? I presume these are reproduction parts, although Alpina is very aggressive in its litigation against copyright infringement.

Alpina interior mods - tricky, since they mostly involve retrimming. Maybe the Alpina door mats and kickplates.

In theory, you could even modify your key - the Alpina one has a plastic Alpina crest in the middle, not a BMW propeller, and of course the Alpina keyring.

for steering wheel, i only have the emblem, I plan to custom make a leather cover with two tone stiching with the + and - marks (might even get the paddles from my530i need the money tho ).

By hood I meant the hood emblems and trunk emblem, i know the alpina maintains a BMW logo in their cars, I kinda like the emblems tho, I know interiors are tricky, but alpina only has a crest in their seats (altho i love the two tone leather, i am not a big fan of dying) , a logo on the wood trim, brake handle.

Now for the budget I have, the hood and trunk roundels, alpina lettering, and pin striping, steering wheel logo change. I will definitely post pics after its all done right

Well, the Alpina interiors also have what they call rhoms - little rhomboid blue and green inserts in the armrests, in a standard car. I don't recall any logo on the brake handle and the logo on the wood is only if you have Alpina Edelholz.

Don't know what country you are in, but if you're in the UK, Germany, Belgium, etc., I'd suggest you go sit in a B5 at a dealer before you try this. Personally, the whole point of the Alpina wheel is the superior craftsmanship - multiple layers of really thin leather on the rim, hand-stitching, etc. - it's a tactile delight that I'm not sure can be reproduced on the cheap.

If I were modifying a BMW to resemble an Alpina, I'd stick to just the bodykit and maybe the pinstripes on the front airdam. Don't put the "B5" logo on the back, to pretend to be something that the car is not - you'll only embarrass yourself.

No, but whoever sold you that logo can be sued by Alpina.

I still have my Alpina and B5 letters, stuck in one of the storage bins - they started putting them on as I was picking up the car at the factory, but I asked them to leave them off. They also played around with the pinstripes on my car, before I got there - tried gold before the silver, to see if it looked any better!

BTW, the pinstripes are a notorious nightmare to apply yourself.

Hythe, I am not happy with the alpina letters i ordered, cos the alpina has a flat top 'A' and I cannot get that, can you maybe sell me ur alpina letters? please let me know i live in jacksonville florida, usa, and for the hand stitching, trust me I have some people here who can hook me up with it. I like the arm rest logo, but i dont like the seat logo, for the steering wheel, I ll have to find some high quality leather

leathering is the key for an Alpina I normally do not share the idea of showing sg, but I understand if you like than do it, just what is important never say or act like you have a B5 as then you are in trouble, any leather shop can make an Alpina-look-a-like interior but the material and the feel will never be the same as in the real thing keep us posted
