Thumbs up

Sup people,

I was at axis trying to open a distributor account when the owner came downstairs and asked me if he could take pics of my 07 e60 white on black just like iceman's but with out the m-kit, Anyways I said sure. He said we just made some new wheels for the e60's (EXE Konkourse) and they never got to mount em on the e60 yet and they wanted to do it on my car and take pics for the site.

They took off my rims and mounted 2 konkourse on there (left front and left rear)
after they were done taking pics of my car I jokingly told the owner just leave em on there. Well they gave me the rims (EXE KONKOURSE) and I payed for the tires (You can imagine how freakin happy I was with this gift)

Well heres the problem, my steering wheel is shaking bad.....but only from 45 to 75 mph and stops shaking completely at 90mph and over, also my traction is horrible the car feels like it has no control, steering wheel feels loose at high speeds (85 mph and over).

Man I really love these rims and they look soooooo good on the e60 (man that dish is deep) 20x9 front and 20x10.5 rear with nitto 555's all around. Axis (EXE) hooked me up big time basically free (payed for the tires) BUT im not enjoying my car cuz it feels outta control.

What am I supposed to do I hope its not because of the rims. Really Really hope its not.
They been high speed balanced, and we tryed them with and with out hub rings.

Any ideas? Help I want my e60 handling back lol

Thanks HooKed

I guess the offset is not right for E60. Try selling them and you will earn some bucks.

I wanna say that it's your offset, but you said you've already tried that so I don't know what to tell ya about the shaking. As for the car feeling like it is out of control and not having any traction, are you sure that it just doesn't have too much now? I know it sounds weird, but on previous cars when I've switched to wider tires and wheels, the tires don't fit in the normal wear tracks on the road and because of this my car always felt like it was getting pulled around which made me feel like I had no control. When in reality I actually had more traction and because the road had wear on it I was just getting pulled along. I don't know if that's what you're experiencing or not, just a guess. If your roads are less than ideal maybe try driving on a newly paved road. If you still feel like you are out of control then you know for sure it's the wheels and tires. Maybe all the shaking will go away too, who knows. And if it does, then you'll know that riding on 20's on normal/average roads just isn't for you.

Im sure I have LESS traction now because DTC always comes on when i make 40-50mph right angle turns, where as with the run flats on the same street same turn same speed it didn't turn on.

The tires and rims dont rub at all and as far as the offset, these are supposed to be solely designed for the 5.

Im really stuck on this one. Thanks for all the help.

I have said this before;

BMW's steering rods etc are made for precision driving.

Therefore the whoile front is made as light as possible.

20" wheels are way too big for a car that is designed for 17":ers.

Also the making the 20" wheels and even more important the tyres is
extremenly hard in those dimesions.
The need the be balanced 100%, with is hard.

Go back to OEM 19" with quality tyres!

I am sure you have already checked, but it sounds like you may have too much air in the tires. If not maybe there is something wrong with the tires themselves and not necessarily the wheels.
