this is coming to a 50 / 50 split decision. hmmmm....
I have a choice of 1600 from Gary M6 offset...
or I found a guy, (not sure he still has it) 700+200(fixing) M5 offset...
what to do , what to do?????

buy the used ones and buy spacers (H & R or Rogue) if you really want an m6 offset...you'll still come out ahead

Hi Bimmerspeed,

Well, I'm far from the car until end of next week (she's parked at the airport !).
So, I found these pics (taken at delivery) on my laptop. So as said, these are M5 offset with 245 (front) and 275 (rear).
Sorry not beeing able to help you more than that.

Cheers.
Etienne.

This result is so biased - everyone prefers the m6 setup (even if you own the m5 setup) but the question of the poll is who drives what? You have to remember, the first batch (for nearly a year) was only the m5 setup that you could buy. if one could choose today, one would obviously go for the m6 setup.

Do a search - loads of threads on the offset of the m5 wheels. m6 setup all the way....

wheel question.

Not to sound like a total dumbass, but from my understanding you can buy style 166 rims with either an M5 offset or M6 offset, correct?

I am new to this offset thing, and I understand the principle, I just didn't know if you can order one style of rims two different ways...I guess I answered my own question. Each wheel is stock on its respective vehicle.

Don't mind me.

If I ordered an M6 offset on the 166 would I need to change my suspension? Would the wheels rub?
