Hey all,
I'm still working on the wheel rub issue today but I had a quick question I wanted to ask the community:
With the proper setup, is it possible to drive aggressively (within control) on average street conditions without worrying about wheel rub or fender damage while driving on 20''s?
I'm weighing my options right now and trying to decide if I should just get a set of 19'' 166's or 172's or keep my PG3's and try to do some suspension work.
For me, it's function over form, but I still think the 20''s look great so if I can find a way without spending too much I'd prefer to make a go of it with them.
Thoughts? Anyone have an ideal setup off the top of their head?
My current setup is:
Front: NT 555's 245/35 ZR 20 95W
Back: NT 555's 275/30 ZR 20 97W
Wheels are Hamann PG3
Front: 20x9.0
Back: 20x10.5
Shocks: Stock Sports Package
Springs: Eibach Sportline

Lowering front: 2.0in
Lowering back: 1.2in

I am currently running Front: 245/35/20x9 Rear: 285/30/20x10.5. I used to rub constantly, even after I rolled the fenders but once I got my KW V2 coilovers and some adjustments, I very rarely rub....even with people in the car. You should get some coilovers and keep the wheels! Good luck

We (My brother and I) handled well on the Bear Mt. Drive/Meet. I was holding the camera. We were driving it hard on the twisties with lots of dips, sharp turns, inclines, declines double the posted speed limit. We had no issues. We have 245/35 F and 275/30 out rear with a 5" lip in the rear. Only rubbed a couple of times in the front on sharp turns on a incline. Nothing major. Still handle well on 20's.
