Hi fans!

Sorry for opening the 325987235987th topic about MP3/USB/Dension/iPOD. But currently my car plays only radio and audio CDs which has been driving me crazy!

So, my car is produced 10/2006 (serial number CX75792). I have the very basic iDrive with the smaller screen, no navigation, no MP3 playback. schulrog was so kind to check the serial number and turns out the car is CD-changer pre-wired.

My ultimate goal is to play MP3's from a USB stick/hard-drive via iDrive. The Dension website says the 500 will not display text unless I have a Professional nav. But some people have apparently reported it worked for them.

* How can I make sure the Dension 500 will work properly with my iDrive?

* Where can I see pics/video of the Dension 500 in action? Is the interface better than the OEM iPod integration kit with the playlists and limitations etc.?

* Is the MOST interface built in the faceliftss (LCI) and the M-ASK on the previous model? Or MOST comes with Navi Prof and M-ASK with the basic iDrive?

Hi there.

Have you seen this post? It will answer a lot of your questions.

Dension plays perfect on my Idrive. I have the most basic idrive, no Nav, no mp3. Dension displays text perfectly and hell yes the Dension is better than the Ipod integration kit.

Good luck.

I would contact Dension personally. http://www.dension.com/support.php That way if they tell you something you can hold them to it.

Good point. Doing that now and will share their response for other people that might be wondering too.
