my friend's 335i just installed DPE R07s when the tire shop realised that he would need a longer lugs... because after its installed the lugs will be about 5mm shorter than the stock sittings of the lugs... which according the tire shop is dangerous...

anyone changed to longer lugs when on after market wheels? whats the safety guideline? or the tire shop is just trying to earn more money by selling longer lugs?

im on DPEs too... didnt realise anything about this...will be going to tire shop later to check if the lugs are long enough...

In general unless you are running spacers longer wheel bolts are not needed.
