Hey guys need advice and some help. I'm looking to beef up my exhaust and tips. Really want a full exhaust system but my money got tied up in rims and the m tech kit. Can anyone requimend a muffler and tips for around $200- $300 or so? Looking to get a little deeper sound and most importantly improve the look off my cheep Honda civic looking tips.

I got a Magnaflow #14816 weld on. Looks and sounds great.

Amazon $142 (approx.) + $35 installation at my local muffler shop.

RPI Exhaust from Trinity. I just got it installed two weeks ago and love. Nice deep tone and it was on sale.

I went the full 2.5" with Magnaflow mufflers and quad tips on mine. Definitely cost more than 3 bills. lol

chop off the muffler on the rear! and leave all the resonators, and just straight pipe that small section! then find some tips that work for you. It would be a cheep set up with a deep tone. I went with a quad cherry bomb set up but it was a bit more the $300... i like it a lot thought

There are two mufflers in the rear (one of which has that pressure activated flap) IIRC on my 550; did you remove both and just throw a cherrybomb in there?

Thanks!

EDIT: Also to OP, that # magnaflow only has a 2.5' inlet, doesn't our exhaust have upwards of 3" piping?

As I got under my car the pipe that leads to the mufflers is 3" but it reduces to what looks like 2.25"-2.5"

Go with the Magnaflow #11385. I just had mine installed (cat back) last week and absolutely love it! It has a very subtle and nice rumbling note at idle but an even better growl when you open it up.

I have a 545 so the resonators, the center muffler and rear muffler cans all were removed. The pipes forward of the center muffler are 2.25" and after they're 3."

This thread and the contributing members inspired my setup

#14816 are the ones with 3.5" tips and the #14815 have 3" tips? how big are the RPI tips, would you happen to know? I'm thinking about getting this exhaust but i'm thinking the 3.5" tips might be a little to big for the stock OEM bumper and the 3" tips would be more subtle and cleaner.
