Looking to change the Cabin Filters soon and found these Activated Carbon ones on eBay:

Has anyone bought these or otehr aftermarket ones. I dont feel like paying $85 for these from BMW and am looking for better options.

I have bought and fitted the carbon cabin filters made by Mahle (Germany).In the UK they are about half the price of the BMW ones, but not as cheap as those eBay items.I think I would be put off by the very low price.

i have a set of brand new aftermarket ones and never got a chacne to install since i sold my car. if you want them paypal me $40 and ill ship 'em to ya.

my car started to have a smell now when the cabin gets hot.. is that because of my filter being bad?? i clean the cabin from the top to bottom and still there is a smell.

not necessarily. you could have dirty air ducts

Or your air-con system needs a dealer clean.This has been discussed previously on the forum.

ye I got these from ebay as well and been using them for over 3 years, but there is a pieces of plastic than need to be mod so it can fit
