I am looking to add an alarm to my 530i (2004). Is there an after market system that is plug and play? or Can you get a complete kit I am located in Adelaide Australia.

Looking for any suggestions.

Have a great one.

No, I guess that is one of the questions, do you know if any location I can find this out?

You should have the alarm standard. All E60 come with them.

I would have guessed that too, however in Australia it seems every thing is an option, and I can not find any information on how to find this out. I have locked the car with my self in it and there was no alarm.

Regards,
Troy

Lock the car with a window down - wait a minute or two then open the door from the inside by reaching through. You'll find out quick.

Also, you may have all the components for the oem alarm and just need it programmed to work. that being said I remember on my e46 I had to buy the oem alarm parts and the dealer installed and activated for me.

I suggest seeing how much the oem alarm parts will cost along with dealer programming.
