Hey guys, was wondering if anyone ever done an after market integrated navigation. Since my car doesn't have navigation, was wondering if any have pictures of after market navigation's in their E60. Tried looking around, but could only find the Pro navigation(could not find one that comes with everything) which I would have to hunt for the entire wire harness. Any suggestion or pictures would be nice thanks.

nope you can't. Is too much of a hassle. First is a bitch to remove our stock radios, the car wont function properly without is. You would have to change the car's computer and wiring. after market nav = arm and a leg = not worth it. Just got one of those Garmins.

I installed a Garmin Nuvi on a Kuda leather mount.
The mount is kind of expensive, but it looks pretty good and the GPS unit is very functional. I just plugged it in the power adapter under the passenger footwell.
I'll try and post some pics later on.

Attached are some pics. Sorry for being a little blurry, they were taken with my phone.

Some key notes with the GPS in this location:
- Signal strength is almost always 100%.
- There's plenty of room for the cupholder to move and be functional.
- There appears to be plenty of pasenger leg room. I say appears becasue a friend did get in once and hit it with his leg while sitting down. But for the most part that only happened once, and there's plenty of room once they're seated.
- It does not interfere with the gear shifter at all.
- It looks much better in person. The leather is almost exactly the same color (does look a little off in the photo) and it fits against the dash like a glove! You would think BMW made this themselves.
- I ran the adapter plug to the power outlet in the passenger footwell, so no cords laying around. I've never heard any complaints of one kicking it, but I still would like to move this up and out of the way. You cannot see it sticking down unless you bend down and look up underneath!
- The only negative I've found so far is that the seat heater button for the passenger might be out of view, but is still functional.
- The unit works pretty well in this location. Once the GPS is programmed, I usually go by voice directions. If you do need to "quickly" glance down at it it's not that bad at all. (Not like Texting while driving!). And the reach for touching the screen is perfect!

Here ya go: Let me know if you have any Q's:
