Hi ,

1st POST, sorry for being a newb .

Does anyone have an aftermarket cd in dash front . Have you changed it to say ... a Sony in dash with Ipod connectivity. If so any Pictures you can post, and any Vendors you recommend to by from.

Sorry if this question has been posted before. I have been looking and see none. Plus I do not see any Pictures for a E60 2004 to 2007 on this.

Good luck trying to get this to work. The reason you can't find any pics is because this is very difficult to do, the reason being is that the cd player and idrive are all tied together so you cannot just simply remove the oem cd player and replace it with something else. The only thing that I have seen done is guys keeping the oem cd player and then wiring up a aftermarket one as well and having to custom build a slot for the aftermarket unit. I'm not saying that it can't be done but its rather difficult and in my opinion not worth the effort. My suggestion to you would be to look into the factory ipod connectivity unit and then if you want to run aftermarket speakers and amp etc. use a processor such as the JBL ms-8
