Still running my AFE. Not an RPI Fanboy. Still have my doubts. I won't clutter up this thread. This is a very popular intake design. It's funny how it made power on all my cars from a 93 Supra TT to my 330ci but somehow loses power on on E60. The data presented was skewed and one sided at best.

JayCe28,

Its funny how everyone in the thread who actually has the aFe intake says that they felt a gain in power, throttle response, as well as increased engine noise.

I would be happy to help you acquire the aFe for your car.
This is the intake you will need: http://www.modbargains.com/aFe-Stage...2-54-11042.htm

We are also offering a $25 rebate on all aFe intakes for a limited time as well!

Contact me at 714.582.3330 x8005 when you get a chance and I would be happy to help you out and go into this in greater detail.

Best Regards,
Jason@ModBargains.com

I wish someone would "happily" provide some real dyno data, so that we could put this issue to bed once and for all. I would not be against buying AFE intake, if it proves to add power. In the meantime, as per the data that is available, I would recommend RPI scoop, BMC filter and RPI exhaust.

I love my AFE intake. Sounds awesome. I would say buy it. Don't think there is but if there was power loss, I am sure its minimal. I have never had an issue and would recommend it.

Has anyone had success with the new stage 2 AFE intake - sealed so there's no heat soak.

This is definitely an issue that should be looked into deeper, if we are ever to arrive at a real conclusion. Guess what I'm saying is, if AFE wants to supply me with an intake and pay for some dyn sessions, I can provide the car

PS Oh, and I do have the RPI scoop and BMC filter installed, so it can be tested with the scoop, and without. Then with afe and without. And just for kicks, with the scoop and the AFE - which, I am guessing, will produce the highest reading...
