I'm about to pull the trigger on the AFE filter for my 545. I see most people selecting the regular filter versus the Pro Dry filter. Could someone enlighten me as to why one is better than the other? Thanks gents

+1 I was gonna pull the trigger on one for my 550 from R1racer. Maybe we should be PMing him with this question.

The 'regular' filter has more flow due to the media used, but requires periodic oiling (usually around 50K). The dry requires no oiling but flows less. Both are great products and offer better flows and aggressive WOT sound vs stock. I prefer oiled media for reusability and abillity to be cleaned with the approprite kit. Send Joe (r1racer) a PM.
