I think the 2006+ AFE CAI for 530i should fit the 2004 530i. Can one of the forum Guru's confirm?

with modifications to the intake maybe it can, Like VT needed to do with the AFE 550i intake in his 545. talk to car mod shops to see if they can do it before purchasing.

I actually was not talking about the exhaust note but rather the air sucking sound of the intake was louder on the I6 for some reason. I havent heard the new 550 exhaust but I heard it is a monster-finally ONE car company that did something right!
However half the reason I get an exhaust on my cars is for the look as well. I have an exhaust on my e60 and the much bigger tips fill out the cut-out well v. stock tips are just so darn small! But agreed I am sure the 550 is a beast with the AFE as well!
