I am thinking about purchasing an exhaust for my 545 - Any advise would be helpful.

I'm looking primarily for a throatier sound, lighter weight.

I'm a bit skeptical on all horsepower claims, I don't think that it will make a noticible difference, just want to enjoy the volume.

I see that many of you havve the B&B, but there seems to be a few choices out there. I even spoke to dinan in mountainview and they said that there will be a muffler system coming out at the end of the month.

Any thoughts? I will have the M sport package installed on Monday!!!

Go for the Search mode.

There seems to be some Dinan fans, too.

I like the B&Bs--for the 530 too. You can listen to the B&Bs on the B&B website on a 530i. Sound excellent/weight excellent/looks excellent--even the muffler is chromed. Some have sound clips of the B&B in there sigs--Realtyman and Stream, I think. Realtyman for sure. And check this thread out: One B&B Exhaust Thread--donv Be sure and read to the end of the thread. There is at least one sound bite there since Realtyman posted on the thread. Maybe others too.

SOUNDS REALLY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read something in the BMW catalogue about a sport silencer with bigger exhausts. Talked with my dealer about it but they haven't prised the silencer yet...

Glad you liked them on the 530i. I don't know anything about a BMW silencer.

I've been debating on which exhaust to buy also. I've looked at several including Eisenmann, B&B, Remus, Supersprint, AC Schnitzer...etc... Remus seems to be the cheapest at about $700 and I really like their tips. I was leaning towards Eisenmanns but their tips are a bit smaller and kinda plain compared to the B&Bs.

I guess I'm not helping here am I? Just thinking outloud....

I plan to get the Supersprint exhaust for mine right after I pick up the car on Monday. Used their product on my Volvo before, sounds really good when opened up, stock like idling sound, stock like cruising sound.

What car are you going to put it on? i.e., the 530i? How about posting sound clips, idle, full blast, etc.? You do have too many cars. We are down to four--shooting for three. Hoping to sell the 85 RX-7 very soon. Have an excellent prospect who will take care of the car like it deserves.
