Although the AHL modules will also physically adapt there has been debated discussions as to whether they can be coded appropriately to work with the new light modules. Most who have done this suggest that new AHL modules are needed.

My modification did not include AHL modules therefore I cannot confirm this portion of the install.

Good luck. You will love this mod once it is complete.
Thanks Georgieb.

I'm considering dropping Bruces cables and going OEM but without the 'braking force-dependent light'. This would save me the hassle of running the cable all the way through to the new LMA2.

True markie,
However running the cable from the LMA2 module to the trunk is not that big of a deal. It is only a 2 conductor cable with 24 or 26 AWG wires and you can route them under the door sills without having to remove them. Removing the seat is also a lot easier than it looks. I've got another post in the forums on how to take things apart. It will be the cleaner solution long term and you can also do some cool things with coding the LMA to get more functions from your brake lights.

Let us know how it goes.
