Default The advantages of CIC?

Ok, guys, I currently have business navi on my E60 but I want CCC or CIC, i found at a very good price a CCC and I am in doubts if i should get it or should wait to get the CIC.

What are the advantages of CIC over CCC?

Surprised no one answered...CIC is a whole other dimension of functionality, higher resolution screen, hard drive based vs. DVD based, etc. Well worth the upgrade.

I've had the CCC, M-ASK (no nav) and currently CIC. CIC was one of the things I told myself I'd pay to get had I kept my 550. In hindsight, it's not a must have and I totally would have regretted the $2000 retrofit. It absolutely looks prettier than the CCC system but I don't find it to be a whole lot faster or better. In fact, with respect to picking out things that I think make it "better" than my CCC system I can't find anything. The maps are prettier and as mentioned, are HD instead of DVD based but that really isn't a selling point for me.

Really the benefits come into play if you get the 6NR functionality but you're paying for that. Other than that, the CCC system isn't nearly as pretty but it's a lot cheaper, a bit slowed and doesn't offer significantly less functionality (that I can see at least).
