I have a 2007 550i 6mt with sport suspension and this Tuesday I will have installed H&R Anti-Roll Bars front and rear as well as HR Street-Perf. Coil-Overs.

How do you people like them?

Will the big car feel like it is on rails?

What height have you set them at?

The anti-roll bars are adjustable; what settings gives you what results?

Good combo?

I'd also like to know how different coilovers would feel from the regular suspension. Any input, pros or cons would be greatly appreciated!

 

Pjinca and redeyejedi have both installed coilovers in the past month. I am sure that they will weigh in. PJ really digs his.

 

+1 I sold them the KSport coilovers. I'm sure they can chime in about them.

Any suggestions for height? Did anyone find the HR Street-Perf. Coil-Overs not as stiff or more bouncy than the BMW sport suspension?

I am thinking I will increase the gap to at least 1.5 fingers...maybe 2...

thanks - Really would like to know what options are out there...my first reactions was that they were not as stiff? Bouncy even in the back tires when going over bumps. I know that they were installed too low. They don't have enough space to recoil w/ that setting they are already negative.

the reason I need them is that the sport suspension is a little too floaty for me in the corners and at high speed.

I have Active roll stab. but NOT auto leveling. So no sway bars. The only options that I have as I understood it are with coilovers.
