I have been putting my cell phone where the idrive screen is and it'd quite bothering me. I just do not like that idea. I have the G1 phone (HTC Dream) and I was looking for a clip but no luck. Finally found something unverisal and looks quote nice. I want something stock and not aftermarket looking. Finally found what I wanted. I'll have pics up once these are here and installed.

This is what I bought:

From kudausa.com. Made with leather for this mounting base. A tad expensive though. $66 with shipping

Kuda's universal bracket is disgusting and looks cheap so I opted for Bracketron Grip-iT. A lil cheaper than the base. http://www.bracketron.com/?catid=6&pid=21 $28 shipped.

I think it's worth it and looks very nice. The Kuda mounting base is great since it's a hollow polyester shell wrapped in real leather so I can hide wires if I want to put my charger there.

I really need one for my iPhone, so it can display the songs I'm playing.

This multi-purpose device holder will safely cradle your cell phone or ipod. It has advanced padding to protect against shock and vibration. And, no more issues holding a cold cell phone to your ear - keep it both safe and warm right here!

phil check out nigxdoof's post. u can also use this for ipod and comes with the dock. I just love that it's made out of leather. They have the cradle for all ipod and iphones including 3g. gets expensive tho....

Not sure about the leather or the universal clips. I've been looking at Proclips. http://www.proclipusa.com/Default.asp They look pretty good and simple.

I got the G1 phone. It's not going to work. Hopefully when G1 launches a newer version with MP3 integrated like iPods, it will blow em away. But If i had USB connection, I couldve used my phone as an 8GB harddrive. I'm just sticking wih my CDC and MP3s
